Cyber Youth Culture: At the Intersection of Technology and Humanity
Most people will use today's technology for the better, to gather information, enhance education and communication, advance economy and humanity; some will use it for worse, to mislead, misinform, malign and more. Too many will either not gain access at all, or will gain access without the proper training needed to make technology the enabling, empowering and transformative force it’s meant to be. I know that most humans recognize not only technology's capability, but also the immense power it has in the hands of young people around the world. The world is constantly changing, technology is rapidly evolving and that has allowed this world to become smaller than it truly is. We have become a close nit with our neighboring lands. Internet has both good and bad effects on the youth of today. Technology on the internet for one is exceedingly faster than libraries, everything is available on the web and because of this, it is very difficult to enforce restraints on many websites which require adult access and are not suitable for younger audiences. With all the availability, and lack of proper guidance, younger generations won't be able to depict which websites will be beneficial to there education and which will be harmful.
